Mentor feedback 2

The first person I reached out to was Teddi Tostanoski. Teddi Tostanoski was my freshman mentor and currently she is a communication coordinator at UCSB. She is also a founder of Teddi Tostanoski LLC which is a marketing & creative consultant based in Colorado Spring. Her company helps small startup & individuals in the pursuit of effective marketing and content creation.

I video chatting with her on Monday and briefly explained the app and progress I made so far. She said she really liked my concept and prototypes I made. She then told me to check on couples of similar apps such as MeetupEventbrite and Groupspaces. Additionally, she encouraged me to do more user-testing and hoping me constantly talking to people about the app and ask what do they think about it. Then she gave me a couple of UX guidelines to follow

  • Clear navigation
  • Easy access to tea information
  • Easy submission on events

Finally, Teddie and I discussed the contents and graphics in the education tab. She prefers real photos than the graphic images I created. She said she appreciated I made those images but it feels too much green color on the screen. Sometimes, real photos would allow user to connect with tea more. All of the feedback that Teddie offered were very helpful. She said we could schedule another meeting once I’ve done with my project and I’m very thankful for this opportunity.
