Florian Hecker exhibit

On Wednesday, our class took a field trip to see Florian Hecker exhibit at CU Art Museum. I never heard of the artist before so I got excited to see his works finally. After briefly reading his artistic statement, we got into the installation. Surprisingly, His work does not display an image but six big, long green boards and speakers hanging on the wall. The layout of the objects was very random, but somehow it creates harmony. Those speakers generate synthesis, analysis, and psychological sound effects. One follows the other to form a multichannel surround-sound experience. These synthetic sounds and vibrations fly through space like invisible ghosts and create an experience and environment.
